If your country isn't treatin' you right, take your ass to another! So, my neurotic side has this need to schedule out trips to the minute. A way to get around that is the creation of my "Travel Bibles." I am not, repeat, not religious, but since so many lemmings follow those books why not follow them over the cliff and make my own to follow. The book takes you through the entire trip day by day, informing you of important information for your adventures of the day, how to get there, hours & cost, and basic information about the locations you are to visiting. It gives you a guideline when you are across the seas in a foreign place and really don't have a firm plan, just an idea of how you want it to play out. These books take some time to organize, between getting information for each country & city to travel, you have to get the details of sites to see, the information about local transit, & how you plan on getting to those countries, where you are staying, & some emergency info if the need arises. It's essentially a bible, I'd pray to it, it has gotten me through about a dozen countries with very little issue, can't really say that about the real "Bible."
I'm spending most of my waking hours outside of work not only getting my own travel bible organized but doing one for a friend and her upcoming trip. So, my brain is definitely crammed pack right now of travel info!
