Frankfurt, Germany

We had a very early morning flight to Frankfurt. We got a shuttle bus to the airport at 4:30a (I didn't actually get to sleep until 12:30 and of course this was the night the entire hostel decided to be noisy, the morning I had to get up before 4am).

The flight was good only an hour an a half and we arrived on time. Our plans were not very packed the only thing I had on the schedule for today was the Botanical Gardens. It was a free activity that wasn't far from our hostel, just two stops on the underground and a few blocks walking. There was quite a bit to see there and as most botanical gardens are, it was beautiful and peaceful, not to mention a good place to sit and enjoy nature and each others company.

Then we needed some sustenance, we really hadn't eaten since 5ish and it was time around 1p. So back to the main station which is basically where our hostel is, which we had already checked into and dropped our luggage at for convenience. We explored the main square in the area for traditional food and were shocked as shit to find mostly Asian food and a Mexican restaurant. We settled on two different bars that served food. The first we got apple wine (which is what Frankfurt is known for) and some pretzels and pretzel type pizzas next to the bar. We also made a new friend, her names Kira-

Next place was conveniently located just a few doors down from our hostel which made it easy to get too after we had had 3 drinks. They also had delicious bratwurst which we all indulged in. We are now back at our hostel, we were able to check into our room at this point and are gonna be headed down to the main reception for a free spaghetti dinner and Lisa promised she would buy me a rum and coke, so i'm definitely taking her up on that!

So not much today, but it helped us relax and catch up on some much needed down time.

Oh and since I know there are quite few of you who are reading, you better have comments to send me, even if it's just to say hi. Not to mention I read them out loud to the girls when I get them, because they also are approving these messages. :) Love to all.
Finally Frankfurt has iced coffee!!!
Nizi look!
Hostel Elevator reminds me a lot of Florences'

  1. Well Germany and the weather look as though they are on your side for now, it's been warm here but nice, we could use some of that rain. The pictures are great and the gardens are beautiful, that one plant looks as though it's got eggs growing on it; wait if that true then we no long need chickens next door!

The pond is wonderful, something I'd love in our back yard with koi, but any type would be fine with me, although, mom hasn't been able to find the frog, I expect that it's in the big pond. Mom mentioned to me to tell you that you can't bring your new friend Kira home; any way I'm sure that see doesn't speak English so she would fit in to the theme of things here!

Sequoia, who would guess that you guys would find one on your travels, it doesn't look as though it's been there for too long, since it could get so much larger in circumference. The picture of you three is great, told mom that with the tree behind you looks as if your hair is blowing. Who's large beer is that in front of Becca, or is it hers and did she drink it all? Again the food looks great every where you've gone, makes me hungry looking at it.

By the way I did send you a text about your feet and a few things that can help reduce them while on your trip. Great blog and pictures, keep it coming we are really enjoying them alot!!!!! Love you, Good Morning we beat you!!!!
